We welcome all potential foster carers, regardless of experience. If you’re new to fostering, we’ll provide comprehensive training that sets a new standard in care.
We guarantee a professional and collaborative experience for professionals with transferable skills. You’ll be respected as an equal part of the team supporting the child.
We use the innovative Integrated Assessment Process (IAP), a modern framework rooted in fostering regulations and minimum standards. With a focus on safeguarding and strengths, our process is efficient, taking just 8 weeks, far quicker than traditional assessments, while ensuring you are fully qualified, confident, and prepared for your fostering journey.
Our process includes the NFCQ Accredited Qualification, giving you a solid foundation in foster care education and setting you up as an “Accredited Foster Carer.”
At Thrive, we view assessment as the start of your journey, not an end in itself. Our approach equips you with the skills, resilience, and confidence to offer a nurturing and stable home for vulnerable children. It ensures you are fully prepared to meet their complex needs and to navigate the system with ease, laying the groundwork for a long and successful fostering career that delivers the positive outcomes these young people deserve.
We believe in continuous learning and development, offering ongoing accredited training and support to help you excel in your role. At Thrive, foster carers are not just part of our team - they are our team. Together, we create a supportive, empowering environment where everyone can thrive.
At Thrive Fostering, we believe that children should not only survive but truly thrive. Our team is passionate about placing children at the heart of their own lives, meeting their unique needs, and providing stable, loving, and skilled homes, whether temporarily, permanently, or while working toward reunification.
Our foster carers are all highly trained personnel who work collaboratively with all stakeholders in the care process. They are well-versed in the National Minimum Standards and statutory regulations governing fostering, ensuring compliance and best practices across the board.
Trauma-informed and committed to maintaining strong professional relationships with birth families (where appropriate), our foster carers recognise the importance of family contact and are fully engaged in care plans. They actively participate in meetings and understand their responsibilities within the PR framework, ensuring seamless coordination with other professionals involved in the child’s care.
Our carers are continually educated to meet a broad range of children’s needs, with regular practice groups and ongoing professional development. This focus on continuous improvement directly enhances placement stability and outcomes for children. By choosing Thrive Fostering, you are entrusting children to dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and achieving the best possible outcomes for every child.
At Thrive we give our foster carers free access to FosterWiki Support Services, not a contractual service to us, so truly independent to you.
We respect every foster carers right to belong to their own government approved and certified union, the National Union for Professional Foster Carers should they chose.
