To become a Foster Carer, you must provide a child or young person with their own bedroom in your home. Consequently, potential carers should either have a spare room available or plan to have one in the near future.
Foster Carers must demonstrate suitable permanency in the UK to effectively support children and young people. If you are on a Student Visa with work restrictions or seeking sponsorship for your visa application, fostering may not be the best option for you at this time. If you are interested in employment opportunities, please visit our careers page.
Caring for children and young people as a Foster Carer is a full-time 24/7 job; you will be the main carer for the children, and you will need to have time available to do this; this includes caring for children outside of school hours and on weekends and during holiday periods.
Sorry, you are ineligible to apply for a Thrive Fosting application at this time.
